Both the pistol grip and the magazine fit comfortably in between the rails, and you can elevate and never have to worry about either the magazine or the pistol grip making contact with the rest or the bench top. The rear yoke has a threaded stem and two lock knobs, this way it can be used as a secondary elevation adjustment or it can be removed. Removing the rear yoke allows access to the platform that we designed into the rest. Since many of us prefer to shoot off a rest bag, the rear platform is the perfect spot to support that bag. Three point rests are very stable but they take up a little bit of space, so we’ve designed a unique feature into The Black Gun Rest. First remove the cotter pin from the storage position, insert it in the hole up above, push it into place, and remove the front brace by unscrewing the two knobs. You will notice two holes that correspond exactly with the holes in the knob position on the front brace, screw the knobs in, and bingo, the rest now takes up less than half the space as it did before.
