How Does the Hyskore Six Gun Pistol Rack Stack Up

When it comes in the box pretty much it’s all put together and ready to go. This is a product that I saw at Shot Show that I thought would be really useful for those people like me who need to have things organized, and to help you make a little bit more room in your gun safe. So I’ll show you this and I’ll show you how the guns fit in the rack and I’ll show you my gun safe. Like mine, stock gun safes have just a shelf, and there’s no organizers, or anything like that. You just have guns laying in there, it’s not very efficient, and you can’t fit very many things in there on the shelf itself. So this will help make things a little bit easier I think for everybody.

 

All right so here’s the product itself. It’s foam so nothing will hurt your guns, and there’s dividers in between so they’re not going to scratch each other up on either side. It’s basically the same type of foam you’d see in a gun case, and it’s got cut outs for the actual barrels to rest on. You can actually take the end pieces out if you have more than one kit, if you want to make it an eight gun rack, or a ten gun rack. You can actually get threaded rods and put this through here, and an extender and shrink some down to whatever size you want. You could do a three gun rack, or you could do a 10 gun, or twelve gun rack. It’s very customizable for how you want it set up in your safe itself, which I think is really cool. I like that fact. Now the threaded rods don’t come with that, but you can easily get them at any type of hardware store.

 

I’m going to grab a couple of guns and see how to fit in here. I’ve got a different selection of guns out here showing what we’ll actually fit. I’ve got a couple of small 380’s here, a Smith and Wesson Bodyguard, a Glock 42, Walther P. 22, up to my Springfield XDM, and then a couple of the kid’s pellet guns and BB gun here. Everything fits really nice in there together, even the full size gun fits in really well. We’ve got plenty of room, and a revolver should fit in here fine because you’ve got enough room in between the dividers. I think this is a really good solution. I might actually pick one up for the kids safe with the pellet guns and things like that, because they fit really well. I like the fact that there’s dividers in between so you’re not going to get things scratched up from the firearms themselves. And it’s nice that a full gamut of things will fit in here, so I really do like that.

 

So let’s cut over to the gun safe. I’ll show you kind of the way I had a setup before which was very inefficient, and how things look with the new gun rack. This is what the top shelf for my safe looks like. And this is one of the reasons I really wanted to get the modular pistol rack, because there’s really not a lot of room for anything else. I’ve got 4 pistols up there. It’s a mess. It’s hard to get to. Sometimes I’ll have magazines around there, I’ve got some magazines on that side just lying up there, and it’s just really a mess and hard to get to. So I really think the modular pistol rack will help in this situation, because not only will I have six pistols that I can stand up in the back, but then I can also put things in front of it as well.

 

So here’s how I have it set up after adding the modular pistol rack. The thing I really like about this is, again, all of them are easy to get to up at the top of the safe, and then I have a lot of room in front of the rack, so I can put them at the very back of the safe and be able to access everything. I like the fact that everything’s easy to get in, get a pistol out, put it back, and there’s room to put magazines in front. I could put holsters in there. There’s a lot of room, and the main thing is it looks better. The guns are better protected because they’re not going to be scratched against each other. I’m not going to pick one up and accidently drop it on another gun or something like that, and I just think it’s a really great addition to the gun safe.

 

So I really love the modular rack. It fits really well my safe. It will keep my firearms from getting scratched up, and make them easily accessible, and I have room to add probably another six gun rack, or add another two or three pistols there. I think it’s just great. Now I know you can get these online at Midway USA, there are some other places like Cabela’s, or you can even look at a local gun shop that may carry them too. It only runs $24.99, so it’s very inexpensive, high quality solution to add some storage and organization to your gun safe.
