The Hyskore 30310 Target Hound 1,000 Yard Portable Target Stand was developed to satisfy the needs of long range target shooters. The ability to expand wide enough to effectively support 1,000 yard and F class targets, plus sockets that are large enough to hold sturdy 2×4’s make the Target Hound an extremely useful and versatile fixture. In addition, since the rails are designed to allow the attachment of 2×4 stringers, the Target Hound does not require sand bags for increased stability. This makes it extremely portable and easy to deploy.

You may have noticed that within the last several years long range target shooting has become the fastest growing segment of shooting sports. The primary reason for this is incremental improvements in technology that have allowed gun and ammunition manufacturers to produce guns and ammunition to exceedingly close tolerances and standards of consistency. Thinking back just 15-20 years, any gun that would shoot sub MOA was a prized possession, and most typically would only get those results with custom hand loaded ammunition. Today there are numerous off the shelf gun, scope, and ammunition combinations that can be bought at discounters that will achieve the same result. What this has done is taken an event that was challenging at 100 yards and pushed it out to 300, 400, 500 yards and beyond. This means that shooters need to be able to have target support systems that allow them to effectively set up and enjoy shooting at these extended ranges. This is where the Target Hound system comes into play.

1. The stance of the support can be adjusted from 24” up to 47” (outside to outside measurement) to support both 1,000 yard and F class targets.
2. The sockets for the wood uprights are a full 8” deep and have been designed to hold both 2×4 and 1×2 lumber.
3. The angle iron support legs are heavy duty welded 3mm steel, are a full 24” long, and are drilled to allow the attachment of wood stringers to increase the footprint.
4. The angle iron base easily accepts wood stringers for increased stability without sand bags.
5. Durable weather resistant powder coat finish.
6. Since 2×4’s and 1×2’s are not always cut to exact size, and humidity can make wood swell, the sockets are made slightly over sized. It is much easier to add a wood or cardboard shim than it is to try to cut down the wood.
7. The Long Range Target Hound can be set up to hold one large long range target or multiple shorter range targets.
8. Width adjustment can be made in increments of 1”. Using 4 nuts and bolts to attach the angle members provides a stable and secure adjustment.
