The Hyskore® Universal Shooter’s Clamp Set
The Hyskore® Universal Shooter’s Clamp Set
There are times when being able to mount a spotting scope almost any place can come in real handy and there are times when a good portable shooting rest comes in handy. When shooting out in the open on a sunny day, there’s nothing like the convenience of having a handy umbrella.
The Hyskore www.hyskore.com Universal Shooters Clamp Set https://hyskore.com/products/30076-universal-shooters-clamp-set/ provides a stable mounting platform for binoculars, cameras, and spotting scopes. You can mount to tabletops, fence posts, bench tops, trees, and even vehicles. The clamps set is also equipped with a bracket, a mountain umbrella for a bench top, and a V notch for providing a stable shooting platform out in the field. All modern binoculars, cameras, and spotting scopes, have a ¼” x #20 fitting some place on them so they can be attached to tripods and other accessories.
To fit the clamp in place, first turn the handle counterclockwise to retract the screw. Spread the jaws. Put it all in a way over the object you want to clamp it to, making sure that the bar is flush here, and tighten the handle. The fittings for mounting optics consist of a bracket, two knobs, spanner knob, and a specially machined shoulder bolt with a ¼”x 20 thread. To mount an optical device such as a spotting scope, take a spanner knob, take a shoulder bolt, and put the hex of the shoulder bolt into the hex recess and the knob. Now put the shoulder of the bolt through the large hole in the bracket, and screw that into the threaded fitting on the bottom of the scope making sure that the shoulder of the bolt stays in the large hole in the bracket.
Now put one nut onto the bracket. Put the threaded end through the hole in the clamp, and tighten it down. Now you have a spotting scope mounted that can elevate, and can pan. Fix the bracket, spanner knob, and shoulder bolt to a camera in a manner similar to the way you did on the spotting scope, mounted it to the clamp and you’re in business. The umbrella will remain stable at wind speeds up to about three or four miles per hour. The two back sides of the bracket have a hook fastener on them. All you have to do is take a special strap, which is hook on one side loop on the other, wrap it around, and wrap it back upon itself. You have a good secure fit.
