Magpul Mags for the Glock.

I’m a huge Glock fan. I’ve owned Glocks for years. I have a lot of different models of Glocks. When I heard that Magpul was introducing the P mag for the Glock 17 I was really excited because I knew the price would be right and the quality would be there. You know there’s a lot of aftermarket mags out there and you should not buy them because there have been so many problems with them. And you know that Magpul is standing behind it, it’s gonna be a great product.

Is Your Model 1911 a Problem Gun?

I have a series 80 Gold Cup Colt Model 1911 that is virtually a problem free gun, it runs and feeds perfectly every single time as long as I’m using a good magazine. The magazines I use the most are original equipment Colt and also Kimber Pro Tech mags. Although Chip McCormick and Wilson combat magazines also provide excellent results.

Can I Clean a Gun Too Much?

The big question is how often should I clean my gun. Is it possible to over clean it? And after I clean it how do I properly lubricate it, should I use oil or grease? The first gun I’m going to look at as a Glock 19. This particular gun is new right out of the box and. After working with a little bit. I noticed that it had a really bad trigger pull. So I’m going to take it out to the range to fire it enough to get it to break in. I’m going to do a cleaning on it and then when we get back from the range, we’ll clean it again.

How To Clean A Bolt Action Rifle

All right. Here we go. I’m cleaning up some of my rifles and today I’m going to explain how to clean a bolt action rifle. First thing we’re gonna do is make sure that weapon is unloaded and safe to clean, and make sure there’s nothing up the barrel and the chamber is empty. So let’s go ahead and get it on the bench and get started. OK. We now have the weapon on the bench. This particular model is a .30-06 Savage. First thing you’re going to want to do is pull the bolt out. If you’re not sure how to pull the bolt out go ahead and look at the manufacturer’s Web site. There’s usually articles or refer to your book that the weapon came with. So I’ve got the bolt out. Go ahead and get started on it. One thing you need is a sturdy fixture for holding your gun during the cleaning process. For this I am using Hyskore’s www.hyskore.com 30022 Parallax Gun Cleaning and Sighting Rest https://hyskore.com/products/30022-cleaning-sighting-rest-2/. You can lock down the gun and not worry about things getting away from you.

30317 AR 15 magazine rack and organizer

Starting in World War 1, the US military used the 30-06 .30 caliber cartridge for its Model 1903 Springfield bolt action service rifle, and then in World War II for its Model M1 Garand semi-automatic service rifle,.30 caliber BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) and for the Browning .30 caliber machine gun. The 30 caliber M1 cartridge was both powerful and had range capabilities that exceeded 1000 yards. For the type of conflicts and engagements that the US was involved in from 1917 through 1954, this rifle and cartridge combination was a perfect fit. After the Korean conflict and the forming of NATO (the North Atlantic Treaty Organization) the US and its allies agreed to have commonality of ammunition. For handguns, this was the 9mm Parabellum. For rifles, this became the .308 otherwise known as the 7.62 x 51. This cartridge had almost identical ballistics to its predecessor the .30-06, but it was shorter, and therefore could be utilized in rifles with shorter and therefore lighter actions.

30318 single stack 1911 Organizer

During the late 19th century the Colt Single Action Army and the Colt Peacemaker were the two most iconic American handguns. Moving into the 20th century it became evident that semi-automatic/aka self-loading handguns were going to dominate the handgun field. During this time Mauser developed the broom handle, which was engineered by Paul Mauser, and chambered in the then new 9 millimeter Parabellum. With these developments the pressure was on for the USA to develop a combat ready semi-automatic handgun. Although several designs were presented, the small arms genius John Moses Browning put forth a design that until the 1980’s was the single most popular American semi-automatic handgun.
